FPS - Differential Pressure Switches

Application

Highly sensitive air differential pressure switches, suitable for providing an indication of fan status and ‘dirty filter’ conditions. The pressure differential switch is suitable for applications where airflow proving or filter monitoring is required. A duct kit is supplied with the pressure switch. It consists of 2m of 6mm tubing , 2 plastic duct adaptors and mounting screws.

The FPS pressure switch is used where fan airflow needs to be proved in order for the gas valve solenoid to be enabled. When airflow is present the switch will operate. The pressure switch comes complete with 2 mtrs of tubing and 2 duct adaptors.

Composition

  • The switching setpoint is adjusted by means of a knob mounted under the main cover.
  • The pressure switches are supplied complete with a duct fixing kit (2 x PDA + 1 x PVC-2M).

Operation

Installation
The pressure switch should be installed by a competent electrician.
Ensure all power is disconnected prior to undertaking any work on the pressure switch.
The switch is normally mounted vertically with the ports facing downwards.

Applications
  • Airflow proving The pressure switch can be used across a fan to provide proof of airflow.
  • Dirty Filter The pressure switch can be used across a filter to provide filter dirty status.

If the switch is to be used for filter status monitoring, the pitot tube ends should be cut square. If the switch is to be
used for fan status monitoring, the ends of the pitot tube should be cut at an angle of 45°
